(re)patterning is a collaborative exploration of the implicit structures that exist within the visual languages and systems that we work and live within. This body of work is site responsive and is intended to evolve each time it is shown. I have been working alongside print maker and mentor Val Loewen and our work lives in conversation together but the work shown here is mine.

Artists and individuals from different backgrounds with different perspectives are invited to interact with each installation. These interactions range from impromptu performances to sharing sensory experiences. These responses have collaboratively informed the development of the work. By continuing to engage with this collaboration, we aim to facilitate the experience of (re)patterning with each installation. By considering, damaging, interfering with, and re-combining the structures and systems that exist within the technical and visual languages of printmaking, we search for new perspectives with an aim to help better understand the patterns we all live by.
