SOFT STRUCTURES

Weave your own linens inspired by the west coast in a one-day workshop series — towels, placemats & napkins. Take one or all three!

Spend a day weaving your own coordinated set of cotton linens in my cozy East Van studio. In this series of one-day workshops, you'll explore three approachable techniques for weaving functional, beautiful cloth using a neutral palette of soft cotton yarns inspired by the colours of the forests and oceans of the west coast.

Each session focuses on a specific project and structure, allowing you to build a thoughtful collection over time — or simply enjoy a one-off day at the loom. You will be able to weave one or two finished pieces of cloth in each session. The first session is beginner-friendly, and the second and third are best suited for students with prior experience on a rigid heddle loom.

Looms will be pre-warped and ready to go, so you can get right into weaving. I will guide you through design choices, pattern techniques, and finishing methods — helping you create pieces that are both functional and full of personal character.
