Using hand weaving as a method to address contemporary ideas of identity and language, I’ve put together a collection of new and previous work that challenges definitions of technology, perceptions and our relationship to cloth. Highly tactile, vulnerable and strong, cloth invites connection and acts as a language for communicating identity, belonging, and culture. Hand woven cloth is a reflection of time, place and the weaver.
